Integrating sources

This is similar to Jack’s background, according to U.S. News Jack was a “superstar Washington lobbyist with lots of well-placed friends.” This should come as no surprise due to the major scandal he pulled-off.

Neither articles describe the proceedings in much detail, but they do give their sentencing. According to the document on Fall, he was “fined $100,000 for accepting the bribe and was placed in jail for a little over 9 months.” I feel that a scandal of this magnitude should be punished for longer than just under a year.

  1. what is your synthesis between the two? if I had to guess, I would guess something like; Bribes are scandals that can be how political power or favor is gained and also ruin politicians in the end.
